TOWN ELECTIONS 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Polls open non-stop - Monday, May 5, 2008

ELECTION DAY: May 5, 2008

POLLING PLACE: Penn Place Post Office

TIME: Open nonstop from 7 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. (unlike previous years when there was a break from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

WHO CAN VOTE: Any resident registered with Montgomery County may cast a vote. Non-citizen residents registered with the Town Office may also cast a vote.

CANDIDATES:

MAYOR: Vote for One (1) for a Two-Year Term: Chris Keller or Carolyn Shawaker

COUNCIL MEMBERS: Vote for Two (2) for a Two-Year Term: Elizabeth Irons and Hans Wegner

EMERGENCY ABSENTEE BALLOT: If you are unable to get to the polls on Election Day, you may call the Town Office (301-933-7488) to have an emergency absentee ballot brought to you.

JUDGES: Linda Knowles, Shirin Keyani, Judy Heyman

ELECTION RESULTS RECEPTION: At town hall around 9:30 p.m. on Election Day. Listen for the bell and come to the Town Hall to congratulate those elected to office and to thank all the candidates. Refreshments served from 9:00 p.m.
