GPWS Problem and Improvement List

1. Search function does not search Bugle archive
   
2. Site has been reported to occasionally be unavailable/down (please report)
3. Move Arboretum pages to new site
4. Notify sites linking to old site (www.garrettpark.org) about new site [do Google link:www.garrettpark.org]
5. Shaking out office procedures: Keeping the site up-to-date (announcements, calendar events, council agenda and minutes, the Bugle, information about organizations); Placing official town documents on the web site;  Linking announcements and events to supporting information;
6. Completing site content: Active building permits lists, Active variance requests list, Budget ordinances, Historic Preservation Committee, Right-of-Way Committee, Penn Place Committee, Garrett Park Climate Action Network, Yellow Pages, Blue Pages (important town phone numbers, committee contacts, etc.), Directions/map, Penn Place, County library links, Transportation links, Large item pick-up, Features, Terms and Conditions
7. Proof existing pages for currency, accuracy, and understandability. Bring existing pages up-to-date, e.g., officers/contacts of organizations;
8. Add past council minutes; Add past Bugles [contact editor to see if available]; Both great sources of town information

12. Agendas: Figure out how to link attachments to the council agenda [Can do in calendar day box for council meeting, but not agenda link; adobe combine undesirable] Should we keep archive of agenda
    
13. Admin: Standardize backup procedure; review user account controls
14. Forms: Change submit announcement and calendar event to simple emails [eliminates need for workflow notification]; Change all remaining forms to emails [initially set up emails to town office accounts and back-up accounts]; Change submit Bugle article to email [email to editor]); make it possible to change email destinations [like "edit contact form"; initially set up emails to town office accounts and back-up accounts]
15. Announcements:  On home page and announcement pages change all occurrences of "announcements"  to "Town News and Information"; List active announcements in LIFO order and list expired announcement in LIFO order.
16. Announcement bug: Annoucements on the announcement page are not displayed on their expiration date, but are displayed on the home page.
    
17. Calendar: On home page change " Upcoming Events from the Calendar" to "Community Calendar" and same changes to other occurrences of "calendar"; Change display of calendar event on home page to <date in bold text > <event in plain text> and possibly increase font size to size used for announcements; Add next month control to bottom of page and move jump to month to bottom of page
18. Logs: Create a log file for logging all submits (announcements, calendar events, contact town office, submit bugle article, etc.) and all edits (announcements, calendar events, edit page, add page) and the log record points to the the web page or captures the email. The file can loop after 1000 records.
19. LHS menu title: Left hand side menu title missing for announcements, calendar events, and possibly others
20. Home page changes:  Change phone directory to "Blue Pages"; add local crime link to home page links of interest;
