These committees were established by ordinance.
Arboretum
Committee
- advises the
town council on the management of all tree and perennial plantings on town
easements and public spaces.
Historic
Preservation Committee

works with town residents who are seeking advice about maintaining the
historical nature of their homes and prepares material about Garrett Park
history and architecture.
These committees were established ad hoc by
the town government to support administrative and legislative functions.
Right-of-Ways
Committee
- prepares
regulations for the use of the town's right-of-ways including for driveways.
Setback
Advisory Committee

advises the town council on the approval building permits and variance
applications.
Penn
Place
Committee
- advises the town council onPenn Placemaintenance needs.
Parks
and Open Spaces Committee
–
creates plans and develops grants for the uses and improvement of the town's
parks and open spaces.
Land
Use Task Force
- At its January 9, 2009 meeting, the Town Council
appointed the Land Use Task Force and charged the group with examining a wide
range of land use issues in Garrett Park. The council asked the Task
Force to report back with
