The annual Garrett Park musicale raises funds for a music scholarship for a 5th grade student at Garrett Park Elementary School. Ilah Gieser, a prominent Garrett Parker, was also a lover of music, and in a gesture of generosity she conceived the idea of an annual $1,000 scholarship to fund a year’s private lessons for a worthy young musician in the local community. To raise money for the scholarship the town holds a musicale every Spring to showcase our rich variety of vocal and instrumental talent. The May 2004 Bugle reports that

"The audience at the Town Hall enjoyed a Sunday afternoon of an eclectic assortment of musical selections, including guitar and banjo playing, the singing of Broadway tunes, Garrett Park songs, opera selections, and classical instrumental music, performed by our talented local musicians of all ages."

We invite musicians to donate their time to a good cause and an enjoyable afternoon.
