Leaf Removal

From the middle of October through the end of December the Town hires a contractor to remove leaves from Town streets. Weather permitting, the contractor will remove leaves from every street as needed – at least weekly during the period of heaviest leaf fall. Residents are asked to rake leaves into long piles along the curb so that the leaf vacuum can easily reach them. Please keep the leaf piles free of rocks, brush, and branches, as these will damage the vacuum and delay collection. Leaves should not be shredded.

All drivers please be aware of children playing in the leaves during this season.
