The new Garrett Park Web Site is open for business

The trial version of the new Garrett Park Web Site is open for business at www.garrettpark-md.gov . The GP web site has been jointly developed by the town office, our contractor Calvert Design Group, and project manager Martin Trocki. The overall purpose of the web site is to strengthen our sense of community by providing reliable and up-to-date information about government business, town events, community organizations, town history, and our neighbors. Background information about the web site development project is presented here.

Over the next few months we will be working out the kinks with the site and town office procedures for keeping it up-to-date, so please be patient and please provide your comments about technical problems, inaccuracies or omissions, or improvements to thetrockis@comcast.net.

So you know what to expect during this shakeout period, here are some of the major problems we are working on: the Search function does not search the Bugle archive and the site has been reported to occasionally be unavailable/down (please report). Announcements and calendar events that you submit may not be posted on the site as soon as you would like and we are still completing site content. A list of problems and improvements will be kept on the site.
